Our client came to us with a historic timber frame that had been disassembled and stored in a tractor trailer container for many years.
Originally it was a house built in the 1830s in NH, and would have been destroyed if the client had not purchased it. We spent a great deal of time organizing the timber frame pieces, cataloging them, and repairing what was either rotten or missing. We then re-built the frame and installed a new pine roof deck. The frame had many beautiful hand-hewn beams and interesting joinery details, which made it a pleasure to work on and save!
